Cléa Pellaton
Bassplayer/Composer/Arranger
At the already mature age of 17, Cléa Pellaton began her musical training at the Ecole de Jazz et de Musique actuelle de Lausanne, playing electric bass with Pierangelo Crescenzio, while pursuing a parallel path in law. She continued her music studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz, followed by a Master's degree in Composition and Jazz performance, under the guidance of bass players Jean-Pierre Schaller, Mimmo Pisino and Etienne MBappé.
She has been active for several years on the Swiss and international scene, both in pop-rock music, notably alongside singers such as Laura Scaglia and Lynn Maring, and in more mixed projects such as RAKI (jazz/pop), Velvet Ink (pop/soul), LSVGNS (hip-hop/electro) or El Viaje Latino (Latin jazz).
Strongly influenced by folk music, film music, electro, literature and cinema, but also downright jealous ever since she was a little girl of her friends who played classical music and those who broke strings on stage, she takes her revenge, composing and arranging the music of Camille & Calypso, in a sweet mix of all these things she loves.
